Ipswich West Moreton Auto Club
The Ipswich West Moreton Auto Club inc (IWMAC) caters for club-level motor sport including Autocross, Sprints, & Short Circuit Touring Car Racing, on a dirt track at Willowbank Park, Champions Way, Willowbank. We also Cater for the Car Enthusiest with Car Club Runs, Cruises, Registration and Social and Community Events. The club is particularly dedicated to providing support to Junor competitors.
Committee meetings are held monthly on the second tuesday, at either the Club Rooms a the track, or at a location advertised prior. See Calenar Page for updates.
Our Club Patron is long serving Ipswich Councillor David Pahlke.
Long standing President and Treasurer, John and Jan Connell stepped down after 15 years at the helm (2002 to 2017). They were honoured with life mebership at the AGM and the club cannot easily express their contribution in words. - Thanks to both of you.
New President is Dave Cullen, and normal water truck driver, Peter Coghlin is the Treasurer (again). Peter has previously held this position a number of years ago.

The track consists of two circuits : The Autocross track is 1km in length, 6m wide and has 8 corners of varying tightness. The Sprint track is 1.3km long, 8m wide and has 7 corners. The track surface is a decomposed granite construction, that gets grippier as they day runs. Check results page for difference from first to last run:)
During the year, two championships are run, one for Autocross and one for Sprints, where drivers compete individually against the clock in a variety of classes.

We have an online entry system. If you wish to enter an event, you will need to create a login.
Click on the members tab and follow the steps to do this.
Note - The online entry is not an on line Club Membership application, it only relates to entering an event using the on line system.
Then click on the advertised event on the right to create your entry.
Non club members can follow this process also, just enter your club details in the spaces provided.

Standard Race Day Proceedures
Gates open at 7 am. Scrutineering and sign on from 8.00 am
Drivers briefing at 9.15
Sighting laps to check where the track goes, where the witches hats are positioned and to check everyones Dorian is enterd in correctly.
Then line up on the start pad, wait for the Green light - then let the red mist descend!.
